
In a dynamic blend of sport and social impact, the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), in collaboration with the Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) and Padel Grove, hosted a one-day padel tournament on April 18, 2026. All proceeds from the event were dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer treatment.
The tournament attracted an enthusiastic turnout of players and spectators, with 108 participants competing across multiple categories, including Men’s Doubles (Intermediate and Beginners), Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. The matches showcased not only competitive spirit and skill but also a strong sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Mr. Talib S. Karim, President, IoBM; Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Vice President (FHE) & Chief Advisor, IoBM; Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President, IHHN; and Mr. Sarosh Afzal, Vice Chairman & CEO, Padel Grove. They commended the initiative and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in advancing accessible, quality healthcare through community engagement.
Also present were senior representatives from IoBM and Padel Grove, including Ms. Kashang Afzal, Co-Founder, Padel Grove; Mr. Mohsin Furqan, IoBM; Mr. Nabhan S. Karim, Head of Marketing & Communications, IoBM; Mr. Hassan Irfan, Head of Sports & Student Societies, IoBM; Mr. Kamran Farooqui, Chief Operating Officer, Padel Grove; and Mr. Hamid Zahid, Partnerships Executive, Padel Grove.
Beyond the competition, the tournament stood as a testament to the power of collective action, bringing together individuals and institutions in support of a shared cause. By aligning sport with social responsibility, IoBM and Padel Grove contributed to IHHN’s mission of providing free, high-quality healthcare to those in need.
