The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) and The Citizen Foundation (TCF) was renewed on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, reaffirming a decade-long partnership dedicated to expanding access to higher education for deserving students from underserved communities. Originally signed in 2016, the agreement reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to creating educational opportunities and supporting students in achieving their academic aspirations. The MoU was signed by Mr. Talib Syed Karim, President of IoBM, and Mr. Mushtaq Kassim Chhapra, Co-Founder and Director of TCF. During the ceremony, Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Vice President, Foundation for Higher Education (FHE) and Chief Advisor, IoBM, highlighted the impact of the partnership, sharing that 103 TCF alumni have secured admission to IoBM since the collaboration began, with the Institution providing financial assistance exceeding Rs. 75 million. She further noted that 53 TCF students had graduated by December 2025, while 38 students are currently enrolled at IoBM and continuing their academic journey. The renewed partnership will continue transforming lives by enabling talented students to access higher education and build brighter futures.
The collaboration between IoBM and TCF contributes directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). By expanding access to higher education and providing financial support to deserving students, the partnership continues to create pathways for academic achievement, social mobility, and long-term community development.
