The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) and the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a strategic three-year partnership between the two organizations aimed at deepening the connection between academia and industry in Pakistan.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Tariq Rahim Soomro, Rector, IoBM, and Muhammad Rehan Hanif, President, KCCI. The agreement is designed to strengthen ties between the academic and business communities, better preparing students for a smooth transition into their professional careers.
Under the agreement, KCCI will provide IoBM students with Management Trainee Officer (MTO) program opportunities, career counseling, and guest speaker sessions, while offering access to job fairs and sharing openings for fresh and experienced hires. KCCI will also support IoBM’s Shahjehan Syed Karim Incubation Center and participate in student research initiatives.
IoBM will offer corporate training and customized professional development programs for KCCI members, and provide priority access to its workshops and seminars. Both institutions will also collaborate on faculty development, joint research, whitepapers, and case studies, and will partner on participation in local and international conferences.
