The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) has improved its standing in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026, moving up 142 places globally to 601st position. The Institute also recorded progress across regional and national rankings. IoBM climbed 87 places in Asia to rank 350th, moved up 17 places in Pakistan to 22nd, and advanced three places in Sindh to 5th, compared with its 2025 rankings.
IoBM’s progress is further reflected in its overall score, which rose from 6,085 in 2025 to 6,712.5 in 2026. The increase of 627.5 points represents approximately 10.3 percent growth over the previous year.
The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings assess universities on their sustainability performance across six key areas: Setting and Infrastructure; Energy and Climate Change; Waste; Water; Transportation; and Education and Research. The framework provides institutions with benchmarks to assess their sustainability practices and identify areas for continued development.
IoBM’s improved 2026 results reflect its continued efforts to make sustainability part of campus operations, academics, institutional practices and community engagement. Over the past year, the Institute has focused on areas including energy and climate change, waste and water management, sustainable transport, green procurement, biodiversity, sustainable events, research, curriculum and community engagement
The latest ranking provides IoBM with a clear measure of its progress while also highlighting areas for further improvement. The Institute remains committed to advancing sustainability across its campus by strengthening responsible institutional practices and integrating sustainability more deeply into its academic, operational and community-focused initiatives.
