
The Institute of Business Management (IoBM), in collaboration with the Sindh Squash Association, successfully organized the 1st IoBM Squash Satellite Championship 2026 from June 15 to 18, 2026, bringing together some of the country’s most promising squash players.
The four-day championship attracted 32 players from across Pakistan, including participants from Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). A total of 31 highly competitive matches were played during the tournament, showcasing exceptional talent, determination, and sportsmanship.
The championship featured a total prize pool of USD 1,000, distributed among the top-performing players. The winner received USD 200, while the runner-up was awarded USD 140. Players securing third and fourth positions received USD 90 each, fifth to eighth positions received USD 55 each, and ninth to sixteenth positions were awarded USD 32 each.
The closing ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Mr. Talib S. Karim, President, IoBM; Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Vice President (FHE) and Chief Advisor, IoBM; Mr. Khalid Rehmani, President, Pakistan Tennis Association; and Mr. Navid Rehman, Secretary, Sindh Squash Association. The guests distributed awards and prizes among the winners and runners-up, recognizing their outstanding performances throughout the tournament.
The championship reflects IoBM’s commitment to promoting sports and providing platforms for young athletes to excel at the national level. The event also highlighted the institution’s efforts to foster healthy competition, teamwork, and excellence beyond academics.
