
The Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) organized a one-day training session on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) on Wednesday, 17 June, hosted at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM). The session brought together over 70 faculty members, as well as academic and QEC representatives from universities across Sindh, reflecting a strong commitment to enhancing academic quality and strengthening OBE implementation throughout the province.
The training focused on the development and alignment of Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), and Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), with an emphasis on their effective mapping and integration to ensure outcome-driven academic delivery.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. S.M. Tariq Rafi, Chairman of the Sindh Higher Education Commission, who appreciated the efforts being made to advance quality assurance practices in higher education institutions.
The session was conducted by Dr. Muhammad Wasif, who delivered an insightful and practical training on designing and aligning learning outcomes in accordance with Outcome-Based Education standards.
The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) continues to play a leading role in facilitating academic capacity-building initiatives of national importance, consistently providing a platform for quality enhancement activities and professional development of faculty across Pakistan.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks and appreciation for all participants, highlighting the collaborative effort between Sindh HEC and IoBM in promoting excellence in higher education through Outcome-Based Education practices.
