The Department of Marketing at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), College of Business Management (CBM), successfully organized a specialized workshop titled “Brand You: A Personal Branding Workshop” for students of Brand Management course on 9th April 2026 at Design Thinking Lab, CBM. The workshop was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical brand management concepts and their practical application in students’ professional lives.
The session was led by Mr. Ameeque Mallick, widely recognized as “The Personal Branding Guy” – a prominent Pakistani digital branding expert, storyteller, and community builder based in Karachi. Mr. Mallick is known for helping individuals and organizations build authentic online presences through community-driven, human-centric strategies. Currently serving as Assistant Manager – Sponsorships and Alliances at Port Grand Limited, Mr. Mallick brought a unique blend of corporate experience and digital branding expertise to the session.
The workshop enabled students to 1: Conduct a rigorous self-audit using brand strategy frameworks (brand identity, brand personality, and core values) 2: Develop a clear and differentiated personal brand positioning statement, 3: Create a LinkedIn profile, elevator pitch, and personal brand narrative ready for professional use
Workshops such as “Brand You” reflect the Department of Marketing’s ongoing commitment to providing career-ready, industry-aligned learning experiences. By equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical personal branding skills, IoBM – CBM continues to prepare graduates who are not only employable but distinctive.
Gratitude to the HoD, Marketing Department Dr. Syeda Fariha Raza and Ms. Sanam Pathan, Head of Institute, BIC, Karachi for sharing perspective.
