The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) launched the fourth edition of its SPARK Summer Internship Program 2026 on Monday, June 29, 2026, welcoming talented students from Karachi’s leading colleges, including Cedar College, Nixor College, Alpha College, Beaconhouse, and Aga Khan Higher Secondary School.
The five-week internship is designed to provide students with practical exposure to campus life and professional work through hands-on projects, mentorship, workshops, and field visits. Participants will gain experience in communications, media, marketing, innovation, and other functional areas while developing creativity, teamwork, and professional skills.
The program is jointly organized by the Career Development Center (CDC), Shahjehan Syed Karim Incubation Center (SSKIC) and the Marketing & Communications (MARCOM).
The orientation session began with a welcome address by Ms. Juveria Baig, Head of the Career Development Center and Office of International Cooperation, who introduced interns to the program structure and learning objectives. Representatives from participating departments also shared insights into the opportunities available throughout the internship. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Raza Abbas, Head of the SSKIC, Muhammad Omar Iftikhar, Head of Communications, Taha Khan, Media Technology Lead. Representatives from the CDC, including Mr. Abdul Khaliq, Senior Assistant Manager, Hajra Khanum, Career Service Coordinator, and Maryam Qazi, Career Service Specialist, were also present.
Coordinated by Anamta Salam, Marketing Executive at MARCOM, the program will culminate with interns presenting projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Speaking at the orientation, the interns expressed their enthusiasm to be part of SPARK and their eagerness to gain real-world professional experience.
Through SPARK, IoBM continues to transform the summer break into a meaningful journey of learning, innovation, leadership, and career exploration for aspiring young professionals.
