Dr. Imran Batada, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and Director of the Center for Information & Technology (CIT) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), has been conferred with the prestigious Tech Leader Excellence Award at the World CIO 200 Summit.
The recognition highlights Dr. Imran Batada’s outstanding contributions to digital innovation, institutional transformation, and tech education in Pakistan. It also reflects a broader shift in regional technology leadership—moving from foundational digitization toward advanced artificial intelligence, automation, and data-driven decision-making. Reflecting on the evolution of the industry during the summit, Dr. Batada noted: “When I first stood on this stage, much of our conversation was centered around digitization and digital transformation. Today, that conversation has evolved to AI, data-driven decision-making, automation, and preparing the next generation for a future that is changing faster than ever.”
