The Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) organized a one-day training workshop on “AI-Enabled Teaching & Research Excellence” on 10th February 2026, hosted at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi.
The workshop brought together academicians and quality assurance experts to explore how Artificial Intelligence can strengthen teaching practices, research output, and institutional quality systems in higher education.
The session featured distinguished speakers including Prof. Dr. Gulfam K. Khalid (Skillsrator) and Prof. Dr. Altaf Hussain Samo from Sukkur IBA University, who shared their insights on AI integration in teaching and research, emerging academic trends, and the evolving role of technology in higher education. Participants engaged in focused dialogue around AI-enabled academic change.
