The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) strengthened its international engagement in entrepreneurship education through its participation in the 12th International Conference and 2026 Annual Conference of the UNESCO Entrepreneurship Education Network (EE-Net), held at Guangxi Normal University, Guilin, China, from October 17–18, 2026.
Representing Pakistan at the conference, Mr. Raza Abbas, Head of Incubation at IoBM’s Shahjehan Syed Karim Incubation Center (SSKIC) and Head of the UNESCO Entrepreneurship Education Network, participated as an invited keynote speaker. The conference brought together approximately 400 national and international participants, including EE-Net country chapter representatives, UNESCO Chair representatives, universities, and education leaders. Discussions focused on addressing emerging challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurship education through collective dialogue and action planning.
During his keynote address on “Cultivating Hope: Empowering the Next Generation Through Entrepreneurship Education,” he highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship education in developing resilience, strengthening individual agency, and equipping young people to create meaningful opportunities. He also shared about the ShahJehan Syed Karim Incubation Center at Institute of Business Management where inclusion is practiced in true spirit and founders from diverse universities in Pakistan are incubated, it is center of cultivating hope through a structured 6 month online incubation program.
As part of the engagement, Mr. Raza Abbas also conducted an interactive workshop titled “Impactful Cross-Cultural Communication” at Guangxi Normal University for more than 150 master’s students representing different faculties.
IoBM’s participation in this international platform reflects the Institute’s commitment to advancing entrepreneurship education, and creating opportunities for meaningful knowledge exchange. Through such initiatives, IoBM continues to contribute to the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem that supports innovation, youth empowerment, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
