Dr. Umm-e-Laila

Dr. Umm-e-Laila holds the position of Associate Professor and heads the Software Engineering Program within the College of Computer Science and Information Systems (CCSIS) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM). With over 22 years of experience in research and teaching in Computer Science and Engineering, she holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Technology from NED University of Engineering and Technology, along with MS and BS degrees from Sir Syed University. Her expertise spans Open-Source Software, Software Engineering, IoT, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Laila has supervised numerous BS and MS students, authored more than 40 research papers in reputable conferences and journals, and contributed as an editor and reviewer for prestigious publications. She has also authored two books on Artificial Intelligence. Actively engaged in professional and academic communities, she serves as an executive committee member of the Professional Youth Foundation Pakistan(PYFP), Aligarh Muslim Old Boys Association (AMUOBA), and Life time member of the Pakistan Engineering Council(PEC). Dr. Laila is widely recognized for her leadership, interdisciplinary research, and commitment to empowering women through technology.
