About

Dr. Nadia Ayub is Professor of Psychology and Dean of the College of Economics and Social Development (CESD), Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi, Pakistan, with more than 20 years of experience in academia, research, and higher education leadership. Her work bridges psychology, education, and leadership, with a focus on understanding how people think, feel, behave, and connect across diverse cultural contexts. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Karachi and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Queensland, Australia. Her research focuses on social and organizational behavior, with expertise in psychometric assessment, adolescent development, interpersonal and family relationships, workplace dynamics, leadership, and human behavior. She is particularly recognized for developing culturally relevant psychological measurement tools and advancing research on identity, well-being, relationships, and behavior in diverse contexts. Dr. Ayub has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications. She has presented her research internationally, including at Harvard University, USA, and has served as a reviewer for international journals, including Brain Sciences, Current Psychology, International Journal of Intercultural Relations, Psychological Reports, Sustainability, and the Australian Journal of Psychology.

Currently, Dr. Ayub serves as a Regional Member (Asia-Pacific) of the Executive Board of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), a program unit of UNESCO-TWAS. In this role, she contributes to initiatives supporting women in science, research collaboration, leadership, and capacity building across the Asia-Pacific region. Her honors and fellowships include the HEC Best University Teacher Award, the Rotary Foundation Group Study Exchange Fellowship to Pennsylvania, USA, the Michigan State University Visiting International Professional Program (VIPP) Women’s Leadership in Higher Education, and the Women in Higher Education (WiHE) Peer Circle/Career Growth initiative. In 2026, she was selected as a Global Leadership Fellow with the WILD Network, joining an international community of leaders committed to social impact, equity, and systems change
