Simra Nasir is serving as Senior Officer-I at the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), IoBM. She supports research, innovation, and commercialization activities by assisting in identifying and disseminating research funding opportunities, supporting proposal development and coordination with funding agencies, and maintaining records of research grants, publications, patents, and innovation outputs. She also contributes to managing MoUs and industry collaborations, facilitating intellectual property and commercialization processes, and supporting the preparation of HEC ORIC reports, as well as organizing research conferences, workshops, seminars, and training programs.
She holds a Master’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Karachi and is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science with Artificial Intelligence from NED University of Engineering and Technology. She is also a co-author of the research publication titled “Multimodal Transformer with Attention for High-Frequency Bitcoin Price Forecasting: Integrating Market, Sentiment, and Macroeconomic Signals,” reflecting her research interest in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. She has also earned certifications in Business Intelligence, Digital Marketing, SEO, Graphic Designing, Freelancing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Generative AI.
Simra has actively contributed to academic and extracurricular initiatives, serving in leadership roles in student organizations and participating in national-level competitions. Her academic background, research involvement, certifications, and professional experience enable her to effectively contribute to strengthening research support, innovation, and commercialization initiatives at IoBM.
