Lt Col ® Muhammad Faraz

I joined Army as an Engineering Cadet in 1987 and did Electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi in 1992. After completion of military training at PMA Kakul, I was granted commission in Apr 1993 as Captain in Corps of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering . During the tenure I served at various command & staff appointments. After promotion to the rank of Major in 2001, I was selected for deputation in K-Elec as Staff Officer to Managing Director. I had the unique opportunity to manage MD’s Secretariat and handle govt departments, ministries, law enforcing agencies.
I did MS in Engineering Management from University of Engineering & Technology Lahore after reverting back to army. Later in 2009 I was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Beside commanding a unit I served at prestigious and technical setups like Special Services Group, Inspectorate of Electronics and Corps Regimental Centre. I got retirement in 2019 after completing 27 years. Due to the meritorious services I was awarded Tamgha e Imtiaz (Mil).
Later I served in DHA as Assistant Director and was responsible for laying complete Electrical Infrastructure including construction of Grid Station at Phase 8, DHA Karachi through active liaison with different departments of K-Elec.
