Engr. Dr. Muhammad Najmul Islam Farooqui is a seasoned academic, researcher, and administrator with over 24 years of experience in higher education and leadership. He served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He earned his PhD in Computer Science and IT from NED University (2024) and holds both MS (2007) and BS (2001) degrees in Computer Engineering from SSUET. His research expertise spans network security, 5G security, RF fingerprinting, and software-defined networking, with several publications in reputed high-quality journals and international conferences.
Alongside his research, Dr. Farooqui has held key administrative and academic leadership roles, including serving as Director IT at SSUET, where he drove digital transformation, optimized enterprise-level university systems, and supported accreditation compliance with PEC, NCEAC, and NTC. He has been deeply involved in OBE accreditation processes, ensuring program outcomes align with international accords (Washington, Seoul, Sydney). As a Board of Studies (BoS) member, he contributed to curriculum design and reform, while also playing an active role in admissions and examination systems to enhance academic quality and transparency.
