Faculty Training at IoBM

IoBM organized a series of faculty development sessions under the Cascading Training of Trainers initiative, coordinated by the IQAE, to extend and institutionalize learning previously shared through the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) program. Conducted over four weekends, the workshops brought faculty together for focused, practice-oriented discussions that addressed the realities of teaching and research supervision, while aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education.

The series began with a session on Research Supervision, led by Dr. Muhammad Azeem Qureshi on 25 October 2025, which emphasized ethical research practices, effective communication, and structured supervisory frameworks to help faculty clarify roles, responsibilities, and expectations. This was followed by a session on Teaching Methodologies, where discussions centered on active learning, outcome-based planning, and practical classroom strategies designed to enhance student engagement.

The third session, Simulation and Gamification, conducted by Dr. Hassan Ahmed, introduced digital tools and experiential learning techniques, prompting faculty to explore innovative ways of integrating these approaches into their own courses. The series concluded with Inclusive Education, led by Dr. Sadaf Hafeez Chohan on 15 November 2025, which focused on Universal Design for Learning and equitable teaching practices to ensure diverse learners feel supported and included.

Throughout the program, IQAE managed coordination, logistics, nominations, attendance, and documentation for SHEC, ensuring a structured and well-documented process. The successful completion of the training reinforced IoBM’s commitment to faculty development and quality education—contributing to meaningful improvements in teaching and learning that gradually but steadily take root in classrooms.
