
An interactive session titled “Imagine Pakistan 2030 – A Youth Awareness Initiative by APSUP” was held at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. The event was graced by Mian Amer Mahmood, Chairman of the Punjab Group of Colleges and Chairman of the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA), as the Chief Guest. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman of the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP) and Chairman Superior Group of Colleges. Prof. Sohail Afzal, Executive Director of the Punjab Group, and Mr. Talib Syed Karim, President of IoBM, also graced the session. The event was attended by IoBM’s Senior Management, Faculty, and Students.The event was skillfully coordinated by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abbas, Dean CCSIS, and Dr. Shagufta Rafif, Associate Dean CBM, whose efforts ensured a well-organized and impactful program.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman emphasized that this event was specifically designed to help Pakistan’s brightest young minds find clear direction and achieve meaningful success. He highlighted APSUP’s ongoing commitment to empowering youth, acknowledging their common concern about the lack of relevant job opportunities in the market. Dr. Abdul Rehman urged young people to cultivate a clear vision, empathy, and selflessness, stressing that strong character and values are the true foundations of lasting success. He also emphasized that APSUP is dedicated to providing guidance and support to help youth navigate their career paths and personal development effectively. Additionally, he called for a nationwide focus on improving literacy, transparency, good governance, and key human development indicators, all of which are essential pillars for sustainable national progress.
Chief Guest, Mian Amer Mahmood, reminded the audience that Pakistan is our only home and protecting it is a shared responsibility. He emphasized that the primary duty of any government is to provide public welfare. He reiterated a need to build an empowering ecosystem that unlocks the potential of Pakistan’s youth, enabling them to become the visionary leaders the country needs. Highlighting key national pillars of social welfare, efficient administration, transparency, law and order, equality, and security, he presented a comparative analysis of Pakistan against developing countries, particularly in terms of economic performance and trade. He underscored the urgent need to prioritize health, the economy, trade, and commerce for sustainable progress. Expressing concern, he shared that 25 million children remain out of school, a number that continues to grow, and called for immediate action to address this crisis. Concluding his address, he stressed that Pakistan needs effective administrative units and a sharp focus on resolving the root causes of its challenges.
Delivering the closing acknowledgements, Mr. Talib Syed Karim, President of the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), thanked the distinguished guests for their insightful contributions. He said the youth are not only the future, they are also the hope of Pakistan. He emphasized the urgent need for the nation to rediscover its direction and restore its pride. With conviction, he urged young Pakistanis to hold firm to their faith in the country, rise with renewed determination, work harder, and pursue excellence, for their success is the key to a stronger Pakistan.
