The basement of the Shahjehan Syed Karim Center of Excellence (SSKCE) at IoBM was transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity and strategic thinking as the Department of Marketing at the College of Business Management hosted its much-anticipated first Marketing Management Plan Poster Competition.
The event featured 38 groups of students from nine sections, mentored by eight faculty members of the Fundamentals of Marketing Management course, and evaluated by seven industry professionals. This marked the first and one of the most significant collaborative displays of foundational marketing knowledge in Fall semester 2025.
Bridging Theory and Practice
The competition served as a platform for budding marketing learners to translate class learnings into visually compelling and actionable marketing plans. From segmentation and targeting strategies to innovative “4Ps” applications, the posters showcased a deep understanding of how brands navigate the modern marketplace.
Event Highlights
- Massive Participation: Students from nine different sections competed, fostering a healthy spirit of academic rivalry and peer learning.
- Diverse Concepts: Projects ranged from sustainable product launches and digital-first branding to traditional consumer goods repositioning.
- Expert Evaluation: A panel of esteemed faculty members and seven industry experts served as evaluators, providing students with real-world critiques and professional insights.
Events like these are critical to the IoBM experience. They take learning out of the classroom and challenge students to communicate their ideas with clarity, passion, and visual impact.
Empowering the Marketers of Tomorrow
The Department of Marketing at CBM continues to prioritize experiential learning. By organizing large-scale competitions such as this, IoBM ensures that its graduates are not only academically proficient but also possess the presentation and communication skills to industry marketing professionals in the competitive global marketing landscape.
The event concluded with high energy, as the top-performing teams were recognized for their analytical depth and creative execution. We also thank our valued partners, Shangrila Foods (Private) Limited and GreenO for gifts to the winning and runners-up teams.
