Dr. Wazir Ali received his Ph.D degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in Computer Science and Engineering. During the course of his PhD, he has outstanding research experience. His primary research interests include information extraction, text classification, representation learning, and opinion mining. His research papers have been published in scientific journals and top Natural Language Processing (NLP) conferences including the Association of Computational Linguistics (ACL), Language Resources and Evaluation Conference (LREC), and Workshop on Computational Approaches To Subjectivity, Sentiment and Social Media Analysis (WASSA). One of his paper was nominated for the best paper award in Student Research Workshop Associated with Recent Advances in Natural Language Processing (RANLP-2021). He is a member of the Neural Network Society (NNS), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL). Dr. Wazir Ali is serving as part of the scientific committee at WASSA and Insights (2022-2023) conferences. He is also serving as a reviewer of various scientific journals in the area of Natural Language Processing.
