The CBM Society of Health Managers(CSHM) celebrated World Water Day with the students of AGHAAZ SCHOOL on 19th March 2017. The event was organized under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Asima Faisal – HOD of the department of Health Management. The CSHM, in the past has been involved in a variety of activities promoting healthcare in various divisions. This time they chose to facilitate the little angels at Aghaaz School to help them understand the importance of water usage, resources and hygiene. The event was made successful by the combined efforts of the core team of CSHM which included Dr. Bisma Imtiaz, Umair Saleem, Dr.Adnan Syed, Salima Rajan, Maha Saif, Amar Ali, Mehreen Khan, Saud Zafar and Asma Tariq. Many other students of the MHM family actively participated to make the event purposeful.
The event was full of informative and entertaining activities for the children. An informative session among activities helped students understand the importance of water, water resources and consumption explaining the water cycle through a short film. They were also demonstrated the proper hand washing technique and its importance in the activity of WASHY WASHY HANDS. A poster competition on Water Conservation also helped students to learn the different techniques for conserving water. The students were awarded prizes for the best performance in the activities.
The CSHM team tried to indulge every child in each activity and focused to help them learn with fun. It was an initiative to spread awareness and healthy practices of daily activities among children of underprivileged areas. The students responded tremendously and seemed delighted. At the end of the event, CSHM team also distributed goody bags, lunch and mineral water bottles among the students.
The CSHM will continue its efforts for the health care with a strong belief that Healthcare is a right, not a privilege!
