He was hopeful that the same passion for achieving life and career goals is present in the youth of Pakistan.
When talking about the success of Systems Limited, he said that the company pursues a strong “Why” and a reason for existence. He advised students to acquire experience in their relevant fields of study and interest along with the ability to exhibit hunger, energy, drive and an attitude to learn that will make a difference. This will provide the students to know the “Why” and the reason for their existence. He gave a pertinent reference to leading global technology companies working in the US and added that no company from this domain was able to create a global impact. He was hopeful that Systems Limited, with its 8,500 employees, and a forward-looking approach, could be able to touch this milestone.
Pakistan's youth have the caliber to move towards their goals. They have to scale up by continuous learning and skills development,” he added. He emphasized the importance of digital transformation. He asked the students to know who they are serving, what kind of services/Apps will solve this problem, and how will the process ease the customers in finding a solution.
Mr. Peer emphasized the significance of data and cloud storage and how it is going hand-in-hand in today’s technologically advanced world. “Every organization has data which is their most important asset. Traditional companies used historical data. However, companies now use real-time data to extrapolate data and predict trends about products and services,” he added.
Mr. Peer recommended students to learn codes and computer languages and stay updated on the latest trends. He asked the students to develop an attitude to learn, to become a team player, to have empathy, and the courage to take risks. The three important aspects that Mr. Peer touched upon during his talk were: digital and AI transformation that is linked to each other, using data as a strategic asset, and effectively using Cloud Computing and Cloud Storage for data management systems.
During the question and answer session, while replying to a question, Mr. Peer said that students should build a strong command of statistics, mathematics, and coding languages. In response to another question, Mr. Peer said that students should develop entrepreneurial skills by picking a social problem and devising a solution to it based on their insights.
