IoBM Hosts Heartwarming Eid Milan to Celebrate Unity and Tradition

On behalf of the Institute of Business Management's President, Mr. Talib S. Karim, and VP FHE and Chief Advistor, Ms. Sabina Mohsin, the Rector, Deans, HoDs and Management Staff were invited to a heartfelt Eid Milan to commemorate the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The event created an atmosphere of unity, celebration, and togetherness. It was held on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The event was graced by the presence of the senior management including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kashif, Dean CBM; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abbas, Dean CCSIS; and Dr. Nadya Ayub, Dean CESD.

The event began with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Humayun Baig. This was followed by a heartfelt dua in which attendees paid tribute and offered prayers for the departed souls of the Late Founder President of IoBM, Mr. Shahjehan Syed Karim; Mrs. Shahjehan Syed Karim; Dr. Ahmed Syed Karim; and Mr. Riaz Akbar Contractor. A special dua was also made for the Muslims in Gaza, reflecting a collective prayer for peace and solace.

In his opening address, President Talib S. Karim fondly recalled that the tradition of Eid Milan dates back to the tenure of IoBM’s Late Founder President, Mr. Shahjehan S. Karim. Mr. Talib Karim expressed his joy at the revival of this tradition, reaffirming that it will continue to be celebrated in the years to come.

Ms. Sabina Mohsin appreciated the vibrant gathering of senior management and management staff, and commended the inclusive spirit of the event. She also acknowledged Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kashif’s thoughtful gesture of bringing mithai, which added a special touch to the celebration.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kashif emphasized the culture of unity at IoBM, highlighting that such a collective spirit - where the President and VP FHE invites the Rector, Deans, and HoDs to all of IoBM’s events - is a testament to the institute’s inclusive environment, something he found unique compared to his previous workplaces.

Moreover, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abbas remarked that such events foster interpersonal connections among colleagues and help bring everyone together on the same page, promoting collaboration and camaraderie. Dr. Nadya Ayub, reflecting on her nearly two-decade-long association with IoBM, expressed that she feels valued and at ease working at an institution where efforts are genuinely appreciated.

Attendees of the Eid Milan savored a delightful array of delicous savory snacks and chocolates, that was a generous gesture by the President and VP FHE and Chief Advisor.
