Dr. Nadia Ayub, Associate Dean, CESD, IoBM, participated in Empowering Women Leaders' Summit



Dr. Nadia Ayub, the Associate Dean of the College of Economics & Social Development (CESD) at IoBM, was one of the esteemed participants at the Empowering Women Leaders' Summit, held from October 7 to 11, 2023, in Islamabad. This summit played a pivotal role as part of a prestigious fellowship program organized by Michigan State University and the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE - HEC). This initiative received funding from the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan.

The primary objective of this program was to empower and prepare women leaders in the field of higher education in Pakistan for senior leadership roles. When sharing her experience, Dr. Nadia Ayub said, 'This program provided a unique opportunity to develop skills necessary for leadership in higher education, particularly in the areas of communication, strategic planning, organizational management, change management, resilience, conflict resolution, career planning, and mentoring.”

Dr. Nadia Ayub's participation in the Empowering Women Leaders' Summit aligns closely with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5 (Gender Equality) & SDG 17 (Partnerships).
