CURTAIN RAISER TO THE WORLD HEALTH DAY

To meet the objectives of bridging the corporate sector with academia and research, the “Department of Health and Hospital Management” and “CBM Society of Health Managers” (CSHM) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) will be celebrating WORLD HEALTH DAY at IoBM on Saturday, April 7, 2018, as announced by CSHM.

Aligned with this year’s theme HEALTH FOR ALL, IoBM will raise voice to support health welfare for all. The event, however, will cover two activities: a PROHEALTH WALK within the campus, (1:00 pm onwards), to highlight key health awareness messages followed by a HEALTH MANAGEMENT CONVENTION in Room No: 314 (10:00 am – 1:00 pm) where Health Management students will display their projects in form of posters and presentations.

This program is a platform to bring a unique opportunity for hospitals, pharmaceuticals, industries, media and allied organizations to promote health care at IoBM which will cater a target market of students, faculty, health professionals, consultants and numerous visitors from allied corporations.

With the rapid change of environment, we are voluntarily or involuntarily making unhealthy choices related to food, exercise, stress, medicines, lifestyle etc.

The purpose of this World Health Day is to spread our word as much as possible to take this day as a promise to quit at least one unhealthy choice. A drop of this effort might create ripples for future health care initiatives. World Health Day is a celebration initiated by WHO to collectively raise efforts or improvement in individual and community health.
