The Post Graduate Diploma
in Supply Chain Management has been designed to further development of people
who want to work in Supply Chain Engineering & Management. It has been developed in response to needs
and requirements of industries & service related organizations. It is based
on evolving trends in the Industry & services. Manufacturing and service
industries are trying to focus mainly on firm-level improvement strategies,
such as manufacturing resource planning, just-in-time (JIT) systems, Business
Process Reengineering (BPR) and Enterprise Resource Planning In recent years,
however, the need to improve inter-firm communication and coordination along
the supply chain has been realized as “the new frontier in improving operations
and logistics management”. This program will help in bridging the gap.
The purpose of this program
is to develop graduates who intend to assume leadership positions in Supply
Chain Management and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and
contribute to the competitiveness of firms operating in the global, dynamic,
21st century marketplace. This course is ideally suited for supervisors, junior
level executives and middle level managers.
